Membership in
the CNFC shall be open to writers in Canada who endorse the Mission Statement
and who pay the annual membership fee.
At the third annual gathering of CNFC last April in Banff, we formally constituted ourselves as the Creative Nonfiction Collective, elected an executive and board, and decided on a membership policy. Members of CNFC will be those who send a cheque for $25 ($10 for students) for a year's membership to the following address: Creative Nonfiction Collective
If you wish to join the cnfc listserve, please be sure to include your email address with your letter and cheque. We discussed the need for
some sort of revenue sooner rather than later (photocopying, long distance,
calls, postage, banking fees, website costs etc). So we agreed people should
be given a deadline to register as members. The meeting voted that, after
July 30, 2006, people on the list-serv who are not paid-up members should
be removed. However, since some registrations arrived without email
addresses, the Executive Meeting of August 17, 2006, decided to extend
the deadline to the next Annual Meeting.
